Not a bad deal if in the market... but H2S will be announced soon, so may want to wait for that.

This seems relatively slick. I heard mumblings of a new model coming.

My employer is concerned with the ecosystem and won't let this on the network.

Does Prusa ever go on sale? Or are there some other alternatives on the horizon?

Pretty good deal, but note the bundle is with the original AMS (1), and not the newer AMS 2 pro with drying function.

Put it on its own network without internet access and do LAN only mode... no data sent to China. The product ecosystem is great... filament is relatively cheap now, it's high quality, and you get automatic filament detection so all of your filament parameters are always set to the right starting values. I switched to Bambu last year and it would take another massive step from someone else to get me switch away.

What hobbies do you have? If your into remote controlled cars or drones can print parts for those. If your into photography you can print adaptors and mounts. If your into arcade games can print stuff for that I printed a mini steering wheel that goes on a spinner control for games like super sprint and off road ETC. . If you need a phone holder for your desk print it for $0.10 instead of buying one for $10 off Amazon. I don't use mine every day but when I do I can often make something I need that is not purchasable at any price or I can make something that is 80% cheaper than something purchased. Just go to Thingiverse.com and type in whatever your hobby is or whatever the items used in the hobby are. I.E. for photography type in your camera model Kodak XYX and you will pull up a list of things that are 3D printable for it. Here is an example I printed this for about $2 to buy one cost $39 + shippinghttps://thunderstickstudio.com/products/grs-arcade-spinner-steering-wheel?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=20271213987&gbraid=0AAAAAC9ZMUnYsS7WzkkJeQt_PNeNDZP6U&gclid=Cj0KCQjw-4XFBhCBARIsAAdNOktzJcb0LJhRh2PV8Q4SWz7HQ9YPLOEZvoeBTn5HDeWNITQ4AVNn12waAlWOEALw_wcB

As a owner of 12 bambu lab printers (x1c, p1s, a1), I recommend getting a P1S. It has all the print quality of X1C and I use none of the X1C specific features like lidar or better camera.

what are the biggest real-world benefits of this X series over the P series?

Like what can you make on the X that you can't on the P? Or what problems would you avoid?

Snapmaker u1 or something coming up. Has multiple print heads instead of switching filament into one print head
