I'm looking forward to the price to drop much more then I'll pull the trigger hopefully soon. I love my pixel 8 Pro so I'm sure I'll be happy with the 9 Pro

I saw the same deal on bestbuy as well. But I would rather HODL. Other colors and models will be on sale soon, as pixel 10 is releasing on the 20th

BestBuy also has it for the same price. To everyone who is waiting for it to go furthther down, it most likely won't. BestBuy has already stopped selling XL, only open box available and that too only in obsidian color. Bestbuy might have clearance price down the road but that would be in-store only for remaining few somewhere in the middle of nowhere.

I don't think so you should be upgrading it. i kind of upgraded from 8 pro to 9 pro thinking that it would be A significantly better experience but ended up paying extra just for a different shape. same experience

How has reliability been for both phones? I am considering picking up another Pixel as I miss the camera function for astrophotography. I just didn't like their onscreen fingerprint sensor instead of a physical one

Doesn't the $150 discount code (for battery issue) expire a couple weeks after receiving it? I know mine had an expiration date. Or did you not claim it yet?

It's a year or so

They're good for a year after selection, so like mine would have expired on 2026-07-21.
Would have expired because I already redeemed it on a Pixel 9a 256MB, for $100 less than this. Now, if Google matches this offer, I'll find out whether the $150 code can be refunded to buy this instead.

Obviously YMMV, but personal anecdote is my Pixel 8 Pro hasn't had any issues. Everything works the same as it did when I got it. The fingerprint reader is much better than my Pixel 7, although still occasionally takes a few swipes to detect my fingerprint. Camera is why I've been sticking with Pixel. Great performance otherwise. Battery life isn't amazing but good enough for me.
