Sub $10/tb is fantastic deal.

I'm a little hesitant with Seagate in general, but a fantastic deal.

Too many hdd failures with seagate on my end to even touch seagate again. With that said I just picked up a 20TB WD from BB for 280 so yea the above is a great deal. You have been warned. Back up, back up, back up!!!!

I can guarantee you this drive size will be a barracuda and not an exos. Still a decent deal

Though it's only been a brief time with these drives , how are they working for people?

Mine is…a bit noisy with the grinding and seeking , and it takes a noticeably long time for it to become accessible after it sleeps compared to other drives I have used.

I've purchased and shucked four seagate expansion drives over the past five months. Two 20tb drives, a 22tb and a 26tb. All of them are Barracudas. They are definitely louder than the Western Digitals when starting up and seeking. They remind me of the old early 2000's era hdds.

The drives have around 3500 hours on them and they are still keeping cool and going strong in my Synology NAS.

I bought this exact drive during the last deal. It's working fine for me, but I'm using it as intended as an external drive in the provided enclosure. It doesn't seem any louder than any other external drives I've used. I can't comment on startup time as I have it plugged in on a home server running 24x7 and I've never noticed it going to sleep.

So far I'm happy with this unit. It seems to be running well and it stays cool. So far it "just works" as intended. Of course it's only been a couple of weeks.

Sure and some people like to say pr0n/pron for comedic effect. If you don't care for knock knock jokes, you're not required to respond and say you have a doorbell.
