I just purchased this (tool only) 2 weeks ago. This is a surprisingly robust tool with a lot of power behind it. I cannot comment how long the battery lasts/how many cuts it will make, but I did about 20 cuts the other day on 5-6 inch thick seasoned firewood and it handled it with no issues. There is no chain guard like other small saws on the market, and still takes a bit of upper body strength to handle this. This does not come with bar oil, so if you do not have any already, grab some while you are at the store. Overall I really like this and am glad I went with the 6 inch instead of 8 inch bar for my occasional usage.
Pros: It will run on any size battery for small jobs. For bigger ones best to just have the larger battery. It will cut through hard woods no problem. You can buy a replacement chain from "Oregon" brand on Amazon for about $10. It almost never binds up when using it how it's intended.
Cons: The safety switch is tiring after long sessions. The bar oil can leak out if not stored in certain positions. If you cut a bunch of live branches and just put it away the chain will surely bind up the next time you go to use it. It doesn't have enough power to simply spray some oil or solvent on there and bust through the grime. The chain tension can loosen after a while using it so if you start to see slack forming use the on board wrench to tighten. If it comes free plan to spend an annoying amount of time getting a dirty chain back onto the bar. I'm sure there is a less frustrating way to do it but it feels tedious every time for me.
All that said i'm sure most of these issues are possible on every saw and I would likely buy this product again (but would prefer a pole saw version depending on my tasks). It sure beats using a reciprocating saw for pruning, especially while cleaning up medium sized branches already on the ground.

I bought this deal, this time through shopmyexchange to save $20 on tax vs my order with home depot a month ago... while also getting 2 of the 5 XO HO batteries (worth more than this deal price imho, I have a ton of M12 and these batteries are excellent!) and will return the tool only from my last order, thanks OP!
I love this thing, most common use case for me is chopping down lengths of firewood that are too long to fit in my firepit. It's quick, and I capture the chips generated for kindling to start the fire! Thanks.
