I bought a different brand once and I hate that these have plastics where it presses the food. After it presses onto the food and pushes them down the hole, the plastic part also scrapes over the metal and microplastics land on the food

Don't know if that's a good price or not, as I bought this a long time ago, but to anyone wondering... It's a great product and has held up perfectly over the years.

Which vegetables can this be used for? I imagine tomatoes would be too soft to use it , right?

A lot of the 8 blade versions seem to be selling for $25 normally. Still this is a few bucks less but the $50 price might be a bit misleading.

I always thought these things were a gadgety joke.

Then I used one at a friends house and bought it before I got home.

Sure it's a one trick pony, but man it does that trick well.

$50 is misleading. It usually sells for $30 based on price history. Honey app shows they raised it to $50 for one day on 7/16 so they could then drop it and justify showing a +50%.

I can't speak about the quality of OP but I have the cheaper chopper that you listed and it is very low quality. The plastic bends when being used. Feels like it is going to break. Also, the chopper blade pops out very easily. It is very frustrating to use.

I like how only this one shows a regular price of $50, the rest of the colors they left at like $30 (besides the stainless)

I use mine for large quantities of garden tomatoes all the time. They get diced and bagged and go into the freezer!

Yes, the original was great. But now it's made in China. The blade is not as sharp as original Mueller
