If you have to have one right now this is MSRP, but GPU prices have been insane. I canceled my 5070 ti at Best Buy and I am going to wait on the supers myself. The rumors are that the Supers are coming and sales are sluggish for the current cards (I wonder why), they will need to move the current cards before the new ones come out.

Agreed. I upgraded my monitor to a 49 inch OLED and my 4070 struggles to take advantage of it. Waiting on the 5080 super.

We don't know if prices will drop lower than MSRP. We don't know if the Super GPUs will be significantly more performant. We don't know what the prices of Supers will be.

We do know that the gpu prices are dropping NOW. We do know the Supers will likely be scalped just like they are now.

It is possibly the best time to buy a gpu before inventory vanishes and new cards with higher prices are introduced. I don't think you can go wrong.

I just ordered one at micro center.
The 5080 order at best but have pickup in 2 days so I'll have it today and cancel best buy.

I wish it was the super version but don't want to wait till December.

Ok there Jensen Huang... "buy now, you never know what may come next, prices could triple!" Sheesh.16gb isn't very long-term/future growth for many of us in gaming and certainly in AI to be dropping 1k+ on.

Tariffs will ensure that prices don't drop below MSRP anytime soon

Except graphics cards don't have tariffs for usa today and are currently on pause until November. Sometimes it helps to do your own research and not bow to fear mongering. I mean gpu haven't sold for msrp in years because duh 90% of Nvidia revenue come from the data center and there has been a supply issue for years from crypto then ai.

The question is, can you wait another year to get Super edition? On the other hand in 2 years will be a newer version and will be much better than Super edition

Nvidia GPUs produced in US. Only parts that get tariffs are the casing. Doesn't affect price.

Will affect lots of other shit tho. That's gonna suck

Lots of folks didn't pick up a 4090 when they were getting liquidated saying the same things about new cards… and now they're worth as much as ever.

The supers should be out this holiday season in the US.
