IMHO it's not a good idea to buy PCIe Gen 5... it's more like waste of money.

Probably true for most people. I got one of these for $179.99 with Discover coupon during Prime days but ended up sending it back mostly because it barely maxes 12K reads on 15th gen Intel hardware. Nothing wrong with the drive it's just a current hardware limitation of the chipset. Yes, I jut barely noticed a small amount of speed increase but I'm also very sensitive to that. A lot of people wouldn't notice a difference between a sata SSD and NVMe drive.

Wd black gen 4 is about half the price for 90% the performance
