you could also get a generator plug and interlock kit for your breaker box too. Will have to shutoff your 240v breakers. you could get an adapter that jumps both legs of the breaker box so you could flip on what breakers you want. could run a fridge and a small window unit and some internet and lights..

Didn't realize you could do it that way. I set mine up with a "side panel" of 4 breakers I could select to bypass for the generator. Something similar to this one:

I have 0 knowledge on it and I know I could ask GPT or some other prompt service but for real world answers… If I bought this, would it run a Samsung Bespoke fridge & a portable AC at the same time (12,000 btu)? For $350 rather pick one up just in case but those would be essentials.

The short answer is, it depands. You'll need to look at the draw of the appliances you want to run vs what this unit provides.

I would venture a guess that you should be able to run one appliance at a time without issue on this unit. But both may be to much, again depending on the draw.

You could do an interlock like MaroonPocket778 suggested. However, that would mean the full load of the house is on this generator and you would have no way of checking if the grid power came back on unless you tap the pre-240v breaker to see if it is energized. The other option is to get a transfer switch with multiple circuits so you can specify which circuit is on the generator and which stays on grid making it easier to monitor if the grid is back online. The second option will cost more and require more labor to install. Whatever load you connect to the generator, make sure you add up the watts and do not overload it. Also take into account that some loads like AC units have startup current surge that can overload the generator.

Those are generally a waste of time, space, and money these days. An interlock kit made for your specific panel for $15 is better in every way.

A modern AC unit of that size will probably use around 1200W

A fridge uses about 90-110W to run, but doesn't run all the time. However every 14-16hr they do a defrost mode which uses 250-400W for half hour or so.

TLDR, this would be fine.

I know this is a weird question but could this charge two talaria sting electric bikes at the same time? They are like Surrons and use them for off road riding only.

Gas? The EcoFlow has a hybrid unit, but it costs around $1000 or $1300, I can't remember. What a normal person tries to get from this deal is a "starter" on a power bank or power station. What an abnormal person will use this to charge the EcoFlow powerbank and use it from there lol

On paper...maybe, in real life...doubtful. Both the fridge and the AC have startup surges that will likely overload the generator and make it stall. That's been my experience with small generators.

There are definitely some interesting reviews on the Costco website about these units. Particularly some of the reviews with fewer stars. The label panel started melting and peeling because it was in the sun for a few hours? WTHeck? 😬😵 🤷
