Thanks. I always get paranoid waiting as I have over a year and wouldn't be surprised if ultimate was 25 a month by the time mine expires. Golly I miss when it was about 5 a month.

If you already have an active Game Pass Ultimate subscription, the conversion rate from Core to Ultimate is worse.

Without active Ultimate: Core converts at 2:1, so 12 months of Core becomes 6 months of Ultimate.

With active Ultimate: The conversion rate drops to 3:1, meaning 12 months of Core only gives you 4 months of Ultimate.

No, you only keep 2:1 now for conversion, so with no sub, 3 yrs GPC + 1 mo GPU == 1.5yrs+1mo of GPU.

So for those that have no current subscription this 12 mo core converts to 6 months of Ultimate. About $10/mo. Not bad

It's stackable so buy 6 of these 12 month core for 3 years of ultimate once converted.

update: buy only 3 of these for 3 year since you cannot stack more than 3 years. convert to Ultimate for 1.5 years for $180. still not a bad deal.

Finally back, thanks OP.

And you can only stack (3) years at a time from what I know and what others have said in this thread, and max discount limit of (5). I ended up buying 3 and will just keep Core for now.

I don't think you can stack that much, I believe it's a max of 3 years, so 3 cards puts you at 3 years of core before you're capped then you can convert to 1.5 years of Ultimate. Any conversion after that is only at a 1/3 instead of 1/2.

Exactly my question. It's like $10/month if you just buy it 1 month at a time from Ebay after letting your sub expire. It would be nice to avoid that pita if I could just get 6 months for 60 bucks at a time, but not such a big deal to settle for 4 months.
