I foolishly sat out on a sale 3 years ago. Target had this for $236. That's the cheapest I had ever seen it before or since. Been waiting for years to see anything remotely close to that. With tariffs, I can't see it dipping any lower than $300. Stinks to pay $100 more than that historical price, but decided to pull the trigger.

I had a panasonic bread maker with nuts dispenser. Does this have a similar feature?
Where do you guys get your fresh yeast from?

Can you actually expect to save money over time with this by buying your own ingredients and making your own bread vs buying it already made at the grocery store?
I feel like its possible if you would buy / make high quality or high tier bread, but if you're trying to beat out a .99 cent great value loaf of "wheat" bread then probably not.

Great price for a superb bread maker. Normal store bought bread was giving me GI issues. Making bread using the zojirushi has been a game changer! I've been sharing loaves of bread with friends/family/neighbors who have also loved the fresh made bread coming from this workhorse. Pound cake came out really good too. Can not recommend this bread machine enough.

Sure you could. But instead you could also buy much better flour and other ingredients than what you usually get. I highly suggest Wheat Montana brand bread flour for instance.

I picked up a $5 bread machine that was from the 90s at the latest and it worked great. I used it enough that I wanted to upgrade to a high end model that did a normal shaped loaf so I checked Marketplace constantly for about four months. You might find the unicorn of a barely used ZOJIRUSHI going for nothing, but in my experience they were all priced in line with used ones on eBay and sold pretty quickly, so don't count on it. I ended up getting a Breville for about $70 which was my second choice.Tl;dr: thrift store models of almost any brand in good shape are a great starter machine, don't believe people when they claim it's easy to find a ZOJIRUSHI super cheap on Marketplace.

it's also potential other things that you can do with it, like making pizza dough, or other kinds of breads, buns, whatever. I have a friend who makes all kinds of Asian bread doughs that you can't get at the supermarket with it. More work, but some other ways you can save extra money with it.

Strange vendor for such a deal. Yeah I only started paying attention to Slickdeals after 2020, so that makes sense. Still, it's reassuring to know, as a current owner, you still consider this to be a discount worth considering.

Yes technically but more importantly is the ingredients you know are in it, barring ptfe coatings, etc. probably not a huge concern

Wait, does this breadmaker's pan tray have a TEFLON PTFE coating? I was going to pull the trigger but not sure about this now... any informed feedback would be appreciated.

Kohl's occasionally has a 40% off coupon for members (free membership by the way) and this same bread maker when available, can be used to save money on.
