No specs in description at all? Why not post Lenovo's website link that also lists it for the same price? One of those group login account? Downvote countered within seconds.

Hi, does anyone know if this model can easily be retrofitted with an M.2 5G/LTE WWAN card that works with the embedded wi-fi antennas? For comparison, HP notebooks (like my current ZBook Firefly) requires a separate SKU which has the 5G antenna built into the display/screen, and this configuration can only be ordered directly from the factory as a custom build. And note, I specifically do not want a 5G dongle or local wi-fi hotspot, as the appeal of built-in 5G/LTE is how clean it's integrated into the laptop itself.

It is not just the WAN radio, but the antennae, cooling, and changes to the case (there is a different bottom cover for WWAN that allows the signals to exit the laptop). In Europe, there are often models that are WWAN ready (you just need the radio) but not in North America.

My p14s Gen 4 has the slot to put a sim, but an empty WAN card area on the motherboard. Oddly enough, it HAS all the antennaes too.

The repair guides show how to install a WWAN, but if its anything like mine it takes a specific WWAN and I'm not seeing it mentioned in their parts store. https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/e...placements

My understanding is that the P14s is already fitted for a WWAN (antennas and SIM slot are already in place). And it's best to get the WWAN card directly from Lenovo. The price is somewhat high (~$200+) but you avoid the problem of getting an aftermarket product that doesn't work. I bought one off AliExpress for $70 that was advertised as working for the P14s but it didn't work. The card itself was fine -- I could tell it was genuine and not a knockoff but upon painstaking research I learned that you need a very particular WWAN part/model number that works with each specific Thinkpad model. I was lucky I got a refund upon returning the product.

Wow. I don't really need a new laptop for work but this is a seriously impressive machine.

It does not come with the required antennas. So, even if you add one card, it won't work. You can add WWAN antennas only in their custom configurable models, if you're not choosing the WWAN module. For Pre-built models, if it does not come with WWAN module, means it doesn't have the antenna, unless explicitly specified.

Was googling around for more info on this laptop and am seeing a few posts from various people saying there's an annoying coil whine. Anybody have it and can confirm?
