Went in the winter and the place was filthy, many arcade games and magic experience was broken/run down. The live entertainment and water park itself was nice.

What location did you go too? I've never had any issues.

I've been to 3 different GWL parks; Sandusky, Boston (not really in Boston but the area) and Mashantucket (e.g. Foxwoods).

The Sandusky location is very small. The Boston area one is actually a refurbished water park (Forget the original name) and has been open for probably around 10 years now. The Foxwoods one just opened in May.

RIGHT when they open they have good deals - we just happened to go to the Boston one right after reopening and it was cheap, but chaos. We also went to Foxwoods one literally opening week - it was brand new, things flowed smoothly (e.g. no opening issues) and it was decently cheap. The problem is post-open the price is obscene, like at least double. For the price I can drive to Kalahari in PA and get a MUCH larger water park.

Pocono Mountains. I was just surprised at how poorly maintained many areas were. The MagiQuest was almost completely broken down, and the water based arcade games were all broken but still took your money. The mining maze was also broken in many of the interactive features. I didn't even buy MagiQuest and was disappointed by it.
