Right around the same price when they had them from Woot in March. Glad it's worked out great for the OP. I was very impressed when I used it to sear some picanha steaks outside so I didn't smoke up my house.

a lot of customer reviews claim this one fails prematurely. my guess is the circuitry can not take the heat, is poorly sinked and fan thus fails. it's a similar problem i see with a lot of cheap dimmable led light bulbs where the circuit board inside the base is doing a poor job of dissipating heat so the 20,000 hour led bulbs fail after less than 1000 hours.

Fan cannot fail because of 'poorly sinked'. I've never seen these overheated. LED bulbs have nothing to do with it.
