I assume not, but is there any chance these would work in a hot oven? My range is sh_t and I know the temperature is way off.
I guess it would probably say in the description.

Anyone baking should buy an oven thermometer, the range for this product does not extend to the temperatures an oven can reach (like 500).

Oven thermometers are metal. This one would melt very quickly and it says 140f is the max.

I've had good luck with similar one's with one caveat, they don't seem happy in the freezer. I think the batteries don't operate their best at below zero.

I think it should be fine in freshwater but not saltwater due to corrosion.
