The nutrition is atrocious. The prices are ever-increasing. And most of these require their "Ahh-Pee-Pee (aka app aka application)" so they can track everything you do, everywhere you go, etc -- all to sell it to the highest bidder.
We're better off eating at home. It'd be amazing if there was a room in everyone's home dedicated to the storage and preparation of foodstuffs. Maybe someday!

These applications want unfettered access to your camera, mic, call history, contact list, browsing history, and always-on location data. And they happily sell it, making you the product.

Would that not be counter intuitive to the point being made? I would be giving up safety to being more free in how my information is given. I never believed in trying to redefine freedoms because no one in society is truly free unless one was living on unclaimed land. The very fact you were born here gives you MORE freedom than some places, but it is not true freedom.
