Nice, they have some of the third generation ones with the headphone jack is still. I don't know why they removed it. The only thing I've ever used these for is connecting with stereo systems. I never use the internal speaker.

Don't many of them have Bluetooth and can connect to speakers and such via Bluetooth?

Well shoot. I missed the Clock versions. I wish Amazon would bring those back. Edit: oh, I missed the 5th gen ones. $50 seems a bit high though.

I think I have six systems running throughout my house and garage. being able to have everything instantly connect together and have a full party house is amazing. I honestly don't notice a audio quality loss when the house is bumping.

You are correct. because I never use the speakers I didn't like the larger design. I think I had one one time, but I gifted it away.

Thanks. The one you ordered seems to be back out of stock but now they have the "Echo Dot (4th Gen, 2020 release)" again. I think stock keeps getting refreshed so I'll keep my eye on it for what I want
