Watch out. They might start charging a monthly fee for the mount after you use it a few months. That's the Wyze way.

That's just silly. This is a needed accessory.

Whatever you do don't update the firmware. There's no way to roll it back and some users report them hanging crooked or the camera not fitting at all afterwards.

Does this allow the camera to see outside at night? I'd imagine not since the IR still won't go through the window.

Edit: It seems to claim that it allows for color night vision. I'll give it a shot, I have one such situation where I have a camera looking through a window.

Honestly, their unlimited camera package isn't that bad compared to others if you have a ton of wyze cams.

This little rubber piece doesn't change the fact that the IR illuminators will reflect off the window. But since the camera is very close to the window it will cut reflections down and since here is some black material around it will probably also reduce glare from the inside when lights are on. Only problem is you need to be happy with the camera looking straight out of the window. Mine are all at an angle and sadly this won't help.

Not the point. It was free when I agreed to trade my money for their product.

It seems every wifi security cam requires sub now. I still have a few Yi Home cams but the ad and nagging for sub is making them almost unusable at this point. Security cams now are the new "printer ink" industry.

And Wyze never changed that agreement - unless you decide to trade your money for a different (newer) product. And they tell you clearly that your old free Lite subscription will not work with the new cameras.

I've used "OOK 5 lb. Clear-Plastic Suction-Cup Hooks", works well for at least a year before you need to clean surface. And you can angle the camera to where you need.

all my cams I bought under that agreement is still grandfathered in under their cam plus lite. yours should be the same.

I will never buy Wyze again. They bricked 2 of my cameras with a forced update. These also happened to be the grandfathered in cams that retained their original functionality of viewable clips without subscription. I've got 3 more cameras left. Will probably switch to a nicer 2k or 4k setup once a good deal comes along.

and THIS is why there's now a subscription fee. people so wanting to pay that they don't mind being lied to, baited and switched, and now go online to defend the mistreatment they received. Jeez.
