Good price. Thin and light for a laptop of this class (weighs just a bit more than the Zephyrus G16). Quiet fans and good thermals, also has a solid selection of ports and non-soldered RAM.

Battery size is slightly lower than some competitors but it's a gaming laptop.

Some of the competitors also have the newer 240hz version of this OLED panel but 165hz to 240hz isn't that noticeable a jump for most. Also comes with accurate factory calibrated profiles for sRGB and DCI-P3.

8GB of VRAM sucks though.

I would disagree here. Upgrading to 32GB for about $50 is worth it.

Good deal on a well rounded system. Lenovo legions are known for high build quality and thermals. This one has qhd, 500 nits, OLED, etc. you might find a 5070 laptop for cheaper, but not one this well rounded

I think you must have. The default options are definitely lower spec than the posted deal

for you and I, sure, i'd get even better memory, for example. but for most people, it's likely not bad. vs say $200 upgrade from certain brands

I just ordered the same last night but with the AMD 7 260, and a RTX 4060. After a lot of debate I decided not to cancel my order and pick this up because it appears the 5070 eats thru the VRAM pretty quick. Also the ship date is in September.

In-cart price for me with the 5070 and upgraded to 32gb of RAM is $1,231. That's a pretty slick deal (before any CB) for a current-gen OLED gaming laptop with a 5070! Don't forget to sign up for Lenovo Rewards, which would earn me another $36 rewards.

16GB RAM and 512GB storage should be illegal in 2025. I've had 16GB for a decade. These days Chrome eats up half of it easily.
