Saw this at Sam's Club today, seems like an incredible price. Not sure if this is nationwide or not. Clearance price seen at a club in Michigan

Doesn't three 77" have known defects? Bad panel or something? Plus it used the older version of OLED?I dunno. I remember reading something bad about it on here before.
I think the panel issue was actually a power supply issue that caused what appeared to be panel issues. The power supply board was redesigned and Samsung replaced defective PSBs. I think the PSB issue hasn't been a problem for S90Ds produced probably since 2024, but not totally sure. I'm waiting on the 77" to drop to under $1k, then I'll roll the dice for it as a secondary room TV. Likely will have a 5-yr warranty if purchased from Costco/BJs/Sam's/etc.

A cheaper Samsung I had years ago has PSB issues. I'm good. They have known problems that they NEVER fix.

I bought the 77" S90D and had the power supply go after only a few months. It was a huge pain. That being said - they did fix it, and so far so good. If you do buy this (the price is great...), be sure to extend the warranty at least through the credit card you use. I think the power supply put in these models has some sort of a defect (the replacement put in was a newer revision). Ignoring the problems, the PQ on the tv is great and the tv is really bright. Going forward I won't be buying Samsung though as I don't trust their QC.
Arguably comparable with some tradeoffs. I've been happy with my 65" C8 so went with 77" C4 over the S90D. S90D is QD-OLED so better brightness but LG will have Dolby Vision, DTS, and better processing. The power supply issues convinced me to stick with LG but plenty are happy with S90D IQ.
