cool idea but I tried one of these before and the weight of it kept pulling my mirror out of place and eventually when I hit a pothole the mirror ripped off the window. It took a thin layer of glass with it so ended up having to replace the window. I hit the pothole going pretty fast so can't fault the device 100% but it was still more trouble than it was worth constantly having to readjust my mirror because it was getting pulled out of place!

I really like these mirror dash cam since it get rids of blind spots, but it does have a bad glare during the day. At nights, all you just see headlights and nothing else. If you do get one, make sure it has the Sony Starvis2 sensors for night time recording and reducing glare. I have the 12" Wolfbox G900Pro 4K rear mirror dash cam installed on my car and love it. It is pricy, but you get a lot more features and it will last.

Before you go all-out with installing any brand of these kind of dashcams, do a test run at night with a temporary install. The older ones were horrible at night but they are definitely getting better. No Starvis 2 sensor is an automatic NO! And cheaper ones are usually terrible.

I'm not sure if this is truly 4K. While browsing dash cams on Amazon, I noticed an interesting pattern: some products are labelled as 4K but are sold at surprisingly low prices, with no clear information on their actual resolution. On the other hand, those that do specify the exact resolution for their 4K claims tend to be significantly more expensive.
I also asked GPT about this, and it mentioned that some sellers use terms like "2160P"—which may refer to 2.5K—to market their products as 4K. Something to be aware of when evaluating these listings.

The promo doesn't seem to be working for me.

Bought one, not for me. Quality was great but the backup camera was not usable and very confusing. Took me a while to install so I missed the return period.

So I bought this one a month ago for $60 on prime day. This is my first dash camera. I've hid wires before for my stereo subwoofer so I'm familiar with this kind of set up. You can pay an extra $20 if you want to run it through your fuse box without sacrificing your cigarette port. However the plug in has a usb attached.

I wired my back up camera inside my trunk ( I drive a Prius) I didn't wire it on the license plate as suggest. The red wire connects to one of your rear back up light. Just wire nut them together. When you're in reverse; it'll just display the reverse on your dash
