Took me nearly a year but just finished all 9 seasons last month. Great show overall and a ton of watch time value at this price back when episodes were 48min and a season was over 20 episodes.

Watching it with my 9 year old daughter. Great life lessons in every episode and the show aged well. Some of the 70's-80's shows were poorly written in retrospect.

No Subtitles or Closed Captioning so don't count on it actually being improved. 2025 and they STILL don't GAS about accessibility.

the two big takeaways from this show: #1: life in the olden days sucked butts. If it's not locusts, Mary is going blind. #2: Nellie was a massive little B.

Why do you say there aren't any subtitles? I just watched the first half hour of the pilot and had accurate subtitles throughout. I'm not sure if that is because of my Fandango at Home settings or Roku settings, but I didn't have any issues with CC for those who really need it.
I'm struggling to come up with an example of digital media I own that DOESN'T include or offer subtitles. Even if they're no longer stated or included with the media format itself, many CC systems are able to auto-generate subtitles with excellent precision.
BTW, the remaster of this 50 year old show looks really good with stable picture, minimal film grain, and great music to go along with the cinematography. Here is a little clip from their YouTube channel.

LOL! I wish I often remembered how lucky I am to be born in modern times whenever I get pissed off with life's curve balls. Most of the time, we have little to complain about in retrospect. Even 50 years ago, I can't imagine driving around aimlessly getting lost without a GPS or mobile phone. To think how much time was wasted back then and how difficult it was to simply get information from point A to B is remarkable. It sounds like there is an upcoming Netflix reboot of the show that I hadn't heard about.

Ok, just bear with me for a second here..
What if we remade Little house on the prairie but all the characters were played by Samuel L Jackson?
