Took me nearly a year but just finished all 9 seasons last month. Great show overall and a ton of watch time value at this price back when episodes were 48min and a season was over 20 episodes.

Watching it with my 9 year old daughter. Great life lessons in every episode and the show aged well. Some of the 70's-80's shows were poorly written in retrospect.

Little Jason Bateman's parents were killed when he was 11 years old, leaving him and his sister abandoned as orphans. Later on in the show, he was caught in bear trap and was also shot during a bank robbery.

His fortunes did turn around in adulthood, when he became adept at money laundering and podcasting.

I always had trouble getting into Deadwood, since I doubt there were that many F-Bombs in the old west.

I am in the middle of season three with my kids. I can assure you the whole show takes place in Minnesota and a small visit to Wisconsin where they came from. None of it took place in Kansas through season three.

Kansas must have been the real life account in the books.

Great show. I watch an episode every Sunday with my daughters. We pause the show a couple times an episode to have talks about the morals of the story and what each of the characters should have done in the given situation. This show is a great learning tool for teaching morality to kids.
