I went with the Yoga over this mainly for the OLED. So far very happy with my purchase. I would choose this one over the Yoga if the display wasn't a factor or if I used the laptop more for productivity or light gaming.

Same here. It's better value with OLED for $20 more. Both laptops are great choices!

Yup make same purchase of the Yoga 7 14in, main perks were oled display, fingerprint reader, brighter screen 600 vs 400 nits, keyboard style/travel better imo, screen bump at top of screen made it easier to open then the omnibook i tested with, has usb-c ports on either side so can change charger position. Take some things with a grain of salt as i only tested omnibook for short time.

Which unit (these or others) would be better for college engineering student? Would be doing some Autocad work on the laptop but heavy CAD work will be done on desktop computer.

I'm probably in the minority, but I feel having USB C ports on both sides is such an underrated feature. More manufacturers have to follow suit.
