Honest question, should i wait for wifi 7 or go for this? i currently have one eero 6 pro. (missed the eero 3 pack of 6 pro for $80), so this is a good aternative.

I would not wait for wifi 7.I've installed deco wifi 6 and wifi 5 in the past 6 months in multiple properties. they are all mesh using wired network cables. I think wifi 6 is at the sweet spot right now for price and performance.

Anyone familiar with the Deco line have any insight on whether I'd lose any features or functionality by switching to these over my 3-unit M9+ setup? They are hardwired for back haul and I'd just replace them with this model. While the SD listing deacription says these are X20 models, the W4500 3 pack on TP-Link's site seems to make a distinction that they may not be.

keep your M9+ main unit active, replace with these x20 one at a time. then switch one of the x20 as primary unit. lastly replace your main M9+. this way, you are not starting the system from scratch

M9+ had a more advanced privacy/security suite for life of the product I believe, these have a more simplified version (home shield basic) and the advanced requires a subscription.

Outside of that you are gaining on everything else.
