In before people don't realize what AAFES is. Yes, all products are new and sealed. AAFES is a military chain which has serviced the military for probably a century plus. Yes, you'll need to be a Veteran, active, reserve or DOD employee to use. It's "Tax Free". I actually ordered my mother a 15 MBA M4 this morning, before work. Sale ends tonight at midnight (7/24)

Isn't this just the same as the one posted the other day? Maybe just mark that one as "available again"

I'd say it's up there. This gen (with M4 chip) recently up'd the base ram to 16gb along with a $100 price cut to $999. A further $300 off and tax free makes it hard to beat if you want a Mac laptop

Previous to this, the best deal was a Macbook Air M3 (back then, current generation) with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD for $799. (same deal when M2 was current). It's possible I missed a deal for $749 (perhaps at Microcenter, a retailer that's not as common as say, Staples), but $699 is a relative steal (PCs can be found at higher discounts, but there's no time for a "Mac vs. PC" debate). It's not likely you'll find a better deal than this.

On further reflection, I think I recall previous generation Macbook Air units being $650 (e.g., getting one with an M2 chip when M3 is the current generation, and it's Thanksgiving/Black Friday season).

If you need a Macbook - yes, you should get this. It's a great deal. Unless you need more storage, then select the 512GB SSD version.

Great deal. Wish the 32GBs 15" would be slightly cheaper.

My order on the previous deal was canceled as being out of stock. Which was weird because my order confirmation stated it was in stock and ready to ship. Will try again...

Why is this reposted as if it's a new deal?? There is an active thread where they kept canceling our orders.

Yes, they're new. I think they're actually fulfilled directly by Apple
Then how is it they cancel after ordering? Does apple run out of these?

Not sure if they ship directly from Apple or not, but I ordered on the 19th and received the tracking number today. Departed Tampa Post office and will be here on Friday.I have seen people get their orders canceled when using a new credit card or one without their name on it(like a spouse's). But some colors were going out of stock when I ordered, so it could have just been bad timing before a restock.
