I've been patiently waiting for 10 years for a Slick Deal that lets me productively use my Ryobi batteries in an extended power outage that we haven't had yet (knock on wood.) I picked up a pair of the lanterns a while back, which definitely have come in handy, but it seems like the work lights usually "sale" at a higher price than I want to pay. If you can place a value on the extra batteries, this looks pretty reasonable to me ... if I'm not mistaken, they get the 3-year warranty.
