Some of this refurbished stuff like the bd790i se seems like it's close to normal price when you check Amazon history?
The refurb for the bd790i she is 349. The new BD 795i she is 389 on Amazon. I don't know if the 40 dollars is worth the refurb tag, but overall that one isn't that great of a deal.

What's the warranty on refurbs? There are a decent number of reviews saying the computer stops working after about a year. And there are numerous YouTube videos on how to repair including one showing fixing two shorts on a um690.
