I have the OnePlus 13 and it's an amazing device. The battery life is spectacular and the screen is every bit as good as the competition. Don't hesitate with these phones.

Great hardware and battery but very buggy and limited OS. Expect to download an alternate launcher to get close to samsung level OS.
Also have noticed some battery health decline using the 100w ultra fast charger on the oneplus12.
I'm headed back to samsung after oneplus.

I am the opposite way. F Samsung with their updates whenever they feel, and F their changes whenever they feel like it. You have no option but to do all forced updates and changes. Their ui 6 F'ed up a lot of users, look it up. I am done with Samsung crap

it's 97% flat. it's a flat screen with the edges having a SLIGHT champher around the bezel. it's effectively flat though, and takes screen protectors much better than the OP 12

honestly I wish we could get a phone with Samsung's hardware choices and the Pixel's OS support. would be the near perfect phone

You can get around taking their "forced updates". Get familiar with ADB commands and you can disable the updater component. I always do this to avoid being a victim of planned obsolescence.

I was looking at this phone yesterday and with my student discount, this 16gh/512gb version totaled $702 for me but having owned an OnePlus 7 Pro and the Pixel 7 Pro, I just want a flat screen. The glass screen protectors dont stay well and the TPU film gets ruined in the summertime heat.

You can put after protectors on curved phones. Just has to use loca glue if tempered glass, or hydrogel otherwise. You guys are really late...curved hasn't been an issue for protectors in a long time. I have one even on ancient Galaxy S8.

Carrier support? OnePlus works on T-Mobile and Verizon...ATT is meh so don't care.

I've never spent this much on any phone, due to trading, receiving for free for review in the past, or buying used. This is an obscene amount for a type of product that doesn't hold value long term. Around $300 is the most I like to spend. Always have to find some kind of slick deal, like when the S22U had $800 trade credit with broken phones in 2022. That was a legendary deal. Got a new phone under $190 total!

I'm not knocking those that spend this much, but it's just something I dislike for myself. To be fair tariffs are probably preventing prices from dropping dramatically these days.
