These are great but they are small. It's perfect for me who cooks smaller meals and also uses offset cooking more than direct (so I use fewer coals). If you do direct cooking for a large group then you will want the large size. The larger size can always be filled with fewer coals so it's more versatile than this one too. Or you can do what I'm doing and buying a second small one and use both when I need more coals for direct cooking.

I used this yesterday. Shocked how easy chimneys are. I hadn't cooked on characoal for a few years and decided to give it a shot again. Lighter fluid and match light is stupid to buy. Stuff some newspaper under the chimney, put your coals in, 15-20 min later, coals are ready to go. Make sure you put your chimney on your grill before lighting the newspaper.

This would be perfect for that person who uses too much lighter fluid when they start a fire for barbecuing where all their food taste like lighter fluid.

Was big fan of these till I got electric coil starter. Best solution if you have outlet nearby, or else it's this
