This post should mention that this is refurbished. Still a good deal IMO and the same price is available on amazon except with a 512gb drive.

I had this exact model laptop with the base model 250 nits screen until recently. Really fine machine. I played BeamNG drive on it and even edited videos on davinci resolve. Surprisingly capable. Speakers. Webcam and dual mouse pads are really nice. Solid build quality. I don't think you'll find a nicer laptop anywhere near this price.

Went with the Amazon laptop for the bigger drive and Win10. I'll turn it into a Linux laptop; might keep the Win10 to dual boot it just in case. Just say no to Win11.

It's +$30 for the 512GB on Amazon - you could also spend $60 for a 1TB drive and upgrade yourself

100% agree. I got it last year similar model HP 845G8 R5 from Microcenter and its an excellent laptop. Screen though 1080p 250 nits is surprisingly good, great build quality.
And I was also able to extend to 3 yr manufacturer warranty through HP support as I brought from Microcenter.
