This is going to be just an one time issue. Once you cut off your finger, it won't happen again!

Personally, I cut my finger off a long time ago, to avoid situations exactly like this

Hate this design. I flipped the blade closed and sliced my finger off.

Well you don't have to flip it open and closed. You can use two hands and hold the blade side the whole time.

Just like flashlights, I realized I have been collecting different box cutters whenever they are on sale. Tried different brand including DeWalt and Huskies.... I find Milwaukee's button design, that is easily accessible, tops all the other brand to a point makes me wonder why they all don't do it.

It is not only faster to open and close but it makes the others feel like how could they possibly do it otherwise and expect to function better. They all literally require two hands except these 'Waukees.

Tiler won't use them because he's actually broken the blade release and cut himself. He also lets the thinset dry in the grout lines and spends a day cleaning like a dentist with a knife. I'll never understand that

I think they are great. He will only use the type you cannot retract the blade at all. Just fixed.

Well if I had his job I'd probably feel the same. But I'm just cutting boxes, zip-ties, and mulch bags, etc.
