So what I've learned about OP is that they really, really like spending their time at the gym.

Many comments regarding poor connectivity, issues with multi point connectivity, and crap call quality. For just listening to music they seem good and the fit is extremely good. If they didn't have connectivity issues, I would jump on it.

The call quality is very bad.
The audio quality is a tad better than my shokz openrun pro 2, but I would pay retail for the Pro 2's over this sale price any day of the week for comfort and battery life. I don't wear earings, but I couldn't get use to these on my ears and if I wanted to itch my ear (weird I know lol), I'd have to take these off completely and put them back on again.

I still remember I bought the Bose headphone back in 2015. I put it in the drawer for a couple years and the ear cushion melted. I contacted their CS and they refused to replace it for me. No more Bose from then.

All that for an ear cushion. Just buy replacements online.

Can anyone compare these to the Nothing Ear Open?

As much as these novel bone conduction headphones seem like a fix, they still die (charging contacts or casing gaps) just as quickly from sweat as normal IP68 earbuds in my experience (like within 2-3 months).
And the audio quality is bad.

Anyway - if you want to find harder to kill workout headphones I'd recommend wired ones with a USB-C to stereo adapter. Went this direction after killing 5 wireless headphones so far this year with sweat. They seem to be holding out.

Nothing is lighter, there is a different sound signature too. Boss is more bass leaning while nothing is more neutral. For me nothing was more comfortable. I've forgotten I'm wearing multiple occasions.

I tried these. Great sound but they were heavy and caused my earlobes to hurt after maybe 30 or so minutes of wearing them. Went with the One Dots from Shokz - much lighter.

These have been the same price over at Amazon recently.

I'd recommend if you prioritize comfort, fit, and open earbuds design over sound quality.

The pros - they are impossibly light and comfortable. Sometime I forget I'm wearing them, leaving them on for hours until I scratch my ear and notice. I can easily hear everyone around me and there is no ear fatigue. Battery life is good. Super tactile physical buttons are the best I've ever used.

The cons - sound quality is poor compared to any other headphones I own. Significantly worse than even the most basic AirPods. Fine for audiobooks, podcasts, etc. Ok for music and videos.

No connection issues, ever, and no call quality issues mentioned. Perhaps the reported issues were with older firmware versions.
