No idea. I was not going to argue with the rep when she offered.
My guess is since the item is still in transit. It's probably cheaper to give me 15 Amazon credit and to let me keep it than for me to cancel and reorder.
I am not sure why others have issues PM with Amazon. I almost always had success whenever I presented a valid case. I don't abuse the system and I don't do it all the time.
