It's an interesting take but Vine reviews are more reliable to me.

New products are the ones that are going to have Vine reviews. It's just a way for new products to get some honest review history.

I'm a vine reviewer, and it's worth noting that we choose the items we want and the products we buy aren't actually free (they are taxed as income at the buyer's marginal income tax rate…which depending on income level means we are still paying about 15-37% of the value of the item. And that's the MSRP value, so a lot of times it's actually an inflated price and it's not much of a discount at all.).

We are kept in the program based on the quality of our reviews. We are encouraged to give honest feedback and there is no pressure to leave either good or bad reviews.

As there is no ability to return items (that still cost me money), if anything there's more incentive to leave negative reviews for bad items.

The alternative is companies posting fake reviews…which is not the case with Vine. You should adjust your perspective on this.
