I have never owned an Xbox but I redeemed using the Xbox app. I think you just need an MS account that's tied to your Epic account. 3 skins + accessories + 1000 vbucks for <$6. 1000 vbucks alone costs $8+tax. Seems like a no brainer

My kid keeps bugging me about Superman and I'm trying to wait to subscribe so I can get ample time to unlock all next season, og, and LEGO. I also want the reboot man.

Yes, but you have to earn the Vbucks that are "included" in the paid battlepass.2. of if I subscribe to crew?
Not sure what this means. If you subscribe to Crew (monthly payment) then you automatically unlock any battle pass while your subscription is active.
Each month has bonus items for Crew subscription as well. If you mean that you want to wait until the last possible minute to try and unlock everything so you can get 2 different battlepass periods with the same 1 month subscription to Crew, then I wouldn't recommend trying to do that at all.
The current pass and Superman bonus are only available for a limited time and unless you are 100% sure that you/your son will be able to unlock all the content (or maybe you already have from your kid playing all the time) then I'd just buy the two separately.
If you use this deal and get the 1000 Vbucks you could unlock the current battlepass then you'd get enough from this battlepass to be able to buy the next one when it unlocks.

That's a fairly rare situation, and I would be surprised if anyone here has tested it. I would assume yes, the account with the crew would get the bucks "refunded". I use quotes because they didn't buy the pass in the first place.
And let me be clear. I don't actually know the answer. 🙂

You can't gift the battle pass to someone else with vbucks
If you yourself buy the battle pass with vbucks, Epic changed it so that you have to buy crew within 14 days to get the battle pass vbucks reimbursed.
It's semantics, but maybe it helps to say that you're not getting the battlepass vbucks for buying crew, you're being reimbursed vbucks only if you spent vbucks for the battle pass.

They showed up in my inventory when I logged in using Xbox cloud gaming. I immediately closed it without playing a game. The vbucks and cosmetics were available on my PS5
