Good deal. Got it for around this price a few months ago. Really good image quality on the recordings. Had no issues so far but the WiFi that connects to their app won't work if you have car play connected via WiFi as well.
Also recommend getting the lens filter - around $10. Otherwise you get pretty heavy glare in playback.
Unit is very small and tucks behind the passenger side of rear view mirror and completely out of visual range.

I've had this installed since last October. I use the recommended Samsung Max Endurance card. Image is fine. However, randomly when driving it will say "recording started" as I'm driving. It never does the shut down or start up noise, just "recording started" like when I first start my car. Sure enough, a few seconds to minutes are missing. Support had me format the card using a format tool they linked. I don't drive a lot, but it hasn't done it in almost two weeks now. I originally formatted the card using the camera itself. I'm hoping we're past the issue, but be aware I'm not the only one out there with this problem. Formatting using their linked tool might help, but it could also just be unreliable.
Also, the voice commands are completely useless. I never really planned to use them, but this is also something widely reported as just not working at all, no matter what language you have set. The interface is a bit clunky but workable as well, but it's my first dash cam so I have nothing else to compare to. I'm sure there are better and worse.

Does the Viofo app support CarPlay?
Does it show up in CarPlay or only on your phone? Would be nice to see the videos on CarPlay versus your phone, or perhaps even have CarPlay display the live video.

I dont think so, I never found any interconnectivity between the 2

Is this better than A119 V3?
Damn. Time to find a deal on a time machine.

Dash cam talk suggest the mini is an upgrade over the a119 v3, but also seems that the upgrades are unrelated to image quality so both should be good.
After researching both myself, I'm going with the mini.

You can't say it's relative if you don't know the differences between the mini and the V3.
By all accounts the mini is an upgrade of the v3…and yes it is smaller.
