You have to have a USB c port that supports video out. Thunderbolt ports must have video out but USB c does not necessarily mean video out is enabled

Probably getting something from Best Buy/Staples or somewhat a name brand with better reviews cost around $15. Don't want something that's gonna damage the port on the mini in the long run. I have GCs to burn at those stores so will see.

If you're wondering whether your device can display video from it's USB C port, just buy it and try. I have had a couple phones that were said to not support it only to finally connect it and they worked just fine. Could have had many nights in hotels streaming what I wanted if I got it sooner.
