I think the trade in value drops to 250 with EPP! Notice the math at step 10 above, the trade in amount deducted is only 250!

Hmm that's odd! If the account is new, it should have a first time app purchase discount of $50. I would try chat and see what discount they can give you, if at least the normal 10% extra they give.
