If you like this, you'll love the Star Wars Radio Dramas. These released soon after the original movies and featured many of the same actors and all of the original music and sound effects. They also include some additional scenes that were cut from the movies.

I you like these, read Splinter of the Mind's Eye. It was written before the movie became a hit and it was supposed to end Luke's story if it flopped.
