APC UPS Model #: BN600U1 on sale for $60 (25% off), regular price $80. There is a $15 off $60 coupon that you can use for signing up for their mailing list, or a $10 of $50 coupon that they also emailed me after signing up. You will have to find a cheap filler for the $15 off coupon (pens, tape, notebooks, etc). This can bring the cost down to $45 or $50 with free shipping.

As for the UPS, it will be good for low powered devices. I got it for my NAS as it also has a data port in the back. Should also be good for routers, modems, and maybe TVs, etc.

Spec wise, this model # BN600U1 is nearly identical to the more common BE600M1 ($84) aside from a miniscule amperage difference (5A vs 5.42 A on this model on sale). I contacted APC, and they told me the only real difference is BN600U1 is for the retail market, while the BE model is used on their website and for larger production.

Coupon is $15 off $60. Did you use a filler item?

Open Google Chrome incognito mode with the link, and you will see a spine game, which will earn 15 off 60. You may need a new phone number

Thanks. Got 2 in 2 separate orders with $15 coupons (even though they expired, they still worked!)

I have 6 routers as part of the mesh network and these are great for keeping them going during power outages.

is this good enough to protect a gaming PC?

I wouldn't count on it. The max power output on this is 330 W and I would leave a good margin for error. If you have a decent or even an average gaming PC, there is a good chance you require higher output, and this will provide no protection during an outage.

I would stick with using it for smaller electronics as noted in the OP.

Not when you're gaming

Just had one die this week. Guess $45 is good enough.

It is, but in most cases getting a new one while they're on sale with a coupon ends up being cheaper.
