Anyone have any insight into the condition that "acceptable" may be? I know it's a gamble but I'd love to know if anyone has received one with a large dent on top or something

This or Bambino Plus? I don't care about dents, scratches, etc. I like they all in one convenient factor but the Bambino plus saves much more space on the countertop

Looked up Bambino plus (https://www.breville.com/en-us/product/bes500): it's a different product. Barista Express has a grinder built in, Bambino does not.
I'm using my Barista Express that I got already used from Craigslist in 2017: it's still going strong. Hope the modern ones are as reliable as my old beast.

Why not just get "very good" for 368.93?

I've compared both and I went with BP. BE has a burr grinder, which is good, but people reported that it doesn't match a quality grinder. I have a high quality grinder (JX-Pro), so I didn't need that feature. BP heats up faster (less than 3 seconds). BE has better customizability, BP is simpler. BP is much smaller saving counter space. It all depends on your preferences.

It varies widely. Could be perfect, could be trashed.

Just a tip here: buy these machine for $499 brand new from various places, you can also get free gifts from Breville by registering serial number with them. Free gifts varies from free beans to toolkits worth up to $100

Trying to decide between infuser new for $400 or this one used very good condition for $30 less. $400 infuser comes with 10% cash back with Amazon card resulting in extra $20 cash back so the price difference is only 10 not 30. The only difference between these models is this includes grinder. I believe the complaints about this grinder is that you can't grind beans fine enough for the best expresso. I have hand crank Burr grinder. Can someone tell me if my hand crank grinder would be just as good or better than the built-in grinder in this? What happens when the grinder fails on this device? Can I grind my own beans and put them in the unit?

Just a heads-up... Costco has the Ninja Cafe Luxe Premier on sale for $499 plus a $120 Costco store gift card making it a total of $380 for the machine. A lot of the YouTubers like it more than the Breville.

I ordered one yesterday. If I like it I'm probably gonna sell my Jura Z6.

We have this. Works great. I would prefer a Bambino though (without a grinder to save counter space)

Completely different machines. The Breville is for people who want to perfect their shots and the Cafe Luxe is for people who want their coffee made automatically.
