I recall a couple of years back threads like these would be filled up with SDers bragging they bought gift cards on 10 or more Amazon accounts and since then these promos have excluded Gift Card purchases and also restricted to very selected accounts. It was abused to the core.

only way to get "blacklisted" is if you abuse the returns or commit fraud by doing things like returning old broken junk or the wrong item in the box of the new item

each promotion works different. for example this promotion WILL NOT WORK if you already have an amex card with MR points added to your account. if you want to use this promo, remove all your amex cards from your account and try again in 3-4 days

The ability to apply the discount to GC purchase must be targeted too. Doesn't work for me when I try to buy Apple or One4All GCs, but works when buying other goods sold by Amazon.

I am not eligible either. Is it for only when a new Amex card is added perhaps. I got a Crucial 2TB portable SSD two years ago for around $90. If I could get a quality one for less than $100 these Prime Days, I would've acted upon my want. Oh well, Amazon's loss, keep money in my pockets, hahah.
