A MacBook can't run all programs either, but they're still very popular, right? Buy the tool you need. This laptop is a great value for an Elite chip and if it does everything you need, why not?

Been using it for months and it's been great. Long battery life and stays cool throughout the day.

A company is more likely to make an Apple silicon compatible program than a Snapdragon compatible program.

But I think the newer CPUs actually have comparable battery life now.

Do some research, this is ancient history.

You never know. One of my main business support apps still only has an Intel-version requiring Rosetta. They've had 5 years to write a AS app but it still does not exist.

If you don't have any show stopping apps, without an alternative, then I cannot recommend these laptops enough. I've had mine for almost 2 months now and have had absolutely no issues designing, coding, gaming (GeForce Now), just basic use... fantastic battery life and great build quality. Very pleased.

My problem with the one I ordered (and returned) was it couldn't even print to the Canon network printer in the house, which works with every other device including mobile phones and tablets. Ridiculous, "no driver support for ARM sorry". Returned it and got a Lenovo.

Love mine, got the 1TB SSD version, battery lasts forever, everything I work with has an ARM native version. Especially love that it has no vents and no noise when I work in my lap or in bed. Always careful about not clogging the fans with my x86's. Not with this one.

Got the refurb 16/256. It does what I need it to do which is browsing and videos and old/light gaming although with 256 it'll eat up your space quickly. A few things.

The only real complaint I have is that the touchpad is too sensitive. It's responsive which is nice, but when I swipe downwards on my browser it'll think I tried to pull the window to the right and it's annoying. It'll also sometimes think I swiped down with multiple fingers and minimize windows.

Keyboard is wonderful, though, and better than my M2 MBP keyboard by a large amount.

The curved corner screen is a little annoying just because it's ugly, but there's no notch so that's a big plus. The screen is also VERY reflective.

Other than that, great laptop.
