CCC suggests similar prices are seen occasionally.

Some reviews say it has thin material. Even at $44, I wouldn't expect thin material. Better off spending $8 at Sam's Club for a polo.

Those were the days

Duluth has heavy-duty polo style shirts for better prices. And the quality seems good for the couple that I have bought from there.

Lacoste polo has a weird fit and I got a couple of them in their outlet stores. They are comfortable but not really worth that much (I paid $68 each). I normally wear US M and got Size L and still it fits small now and now I feel I should have got XL. If you see the product description Amazon also says order a size up but I would say go two size up. Also I believe tag says hang dry only, and even doing that shrunk the fabric for me.

Can't remember the last time I saw someone wearing a Lacoste polo. I feel like these will be $30 in a year.

Man not sure where you've been but the world is getting fatter as a whole. Most European countries are in the ~25+% range for obesity. Sure that's not the 42% of the US but it's still a quarter of the population that is obese.

Lacoste is definitely a better quality brand than Polo.

It depends on the fabric. Polo in the USA uses some weird class for different fabrics. Some of them look worn out after few washes others look brand new for years. I have a shirt thst I bought 10 years ago from polo, it's their soft touch luxury or whatever that I bought for $35 on sale from $60 back then. It still looks new except some stains now it's my yard work shirt, 2nd one is not the soft touch but hard to explain it's the course feeling one, that also stands the test of time but not as comfortable. The LaCoste shirts I bought are all from the outlet in USA and LaCoste sizes are numbers not usually M, L, xl etc. This creates a perfect fit becuase there are many sizes. You really need to know what fits best to get the right size. Don't just go with xl etc. They also have lower quality stuff that they sell at Macy's we see the sleepwear long sleeve stuff, they are OK for sleep not daily wear.
