Seems like this should be cheaper. So many of the pieces are bottom barrel screwdriver bits and hex wrenches. The tape measure is only 12 feet/ Very few sockets.
Aside from the hammer and perhaps the ratchet, everything else here looks like dollar store items.

Buy them one piece of equipment that is expensive but unmatched quality that they wouldn't splurge on themselves.

It's at best more like a beginner DIY set, like someone who just bought a house or bicycle or something. Which I would think is about the limit for the 'mechanic' part of the set, bicycle or scooters or something lightweight like that, but 1/4" isn't exactly something you would want to be working on a car with.

This is a basic basic basic homeowners tool set, not a mechanics... even with that little ratchet. Price seems pretty high too for what you get.

This reviewer sums it up: "Great all around toolbox for inside the house to keep her away from your tools in the garage. :-P"
