I have it - take my opinion with a grain of salt since I love Gudetama - but its cute and definitely worth $5

I got it earlier in the sale, very cute. Just be aware that Gudetama itself is filled with something quite stiff, presumably to hold his shape. The egg white and blanket are soft but it's definitely meant to be displayed and not held or played with if that matters to anyone. For $5 he's a steal though.
