This.
Much better screen, upgradeable RAM, better ports, similar-better performance.
But this does not have a touch display whereas the Acer does.

Normally these come with 250 nits brightness. This one must be a special unit. Really solid build quality. Acer probably still uses flimsy plastic. Elitebook is all aluminum chassis

Historically, Elitebooks are some of HPs better models as far as longevity and reliability. I still have an 8570w with a 3rd gen i7 and NVidia Quadro graphics and the only reason I "need" a new laptop is because it doesn't support Windows 11.

Backlit keyboard? Not seeing anything so I'm assuming no. Not trying to be picky about a cheap price, but as eyes have gone wonky it's an absolute requirement at this point...

I know others already said it, but this laptop is INSANE at this price point. Not sure you could get noticeably better at double the price new in terms of overall quality, screen etc.

Thanks Dr. I've been following your laptop deals for a while and I finally pulled the trigger on this one. It has almost everything I need except the NPU AI stuff.. Hopefully no buyers remorse lol.. How is the cpu and GPU for 2025?

looks like it's optional in this model, so probably not. That being said, this Reddit post is hilarious. Might make sense if they are just like "It costs more to have two different keyboard supply chains, but we still want to upcharge for backlight" lol.

The GPU is below average (Vega graphics), don't expect to game on this. The CPU, although 4 years old, is still very capable. Both CPU and GPU should be more than enough for general productivity and office use, and the display is also very adequate for media consumption. You would be hard-pressed to find a better combination of these specs at this price.
