I have one of these, while I think that kids can have fun with it, it takes some practice for nice looking results, don't expect to be able to draw in the air just like that. From my experience, it's better to create parts on a flat surface and then join them together into a 3D model using the pen. It's also useful for fixing 3D prints from an actual printer, which is what I've mostly used mine for so far.
