$1,850 original price my a$$. This launched at $949 in this configuration. I hate when companies/people inflate prices to give the illusion of a bigger discount.

Thanks for posting this btw OP Smilie

How good it is depends on what you're looking for but ther's a lot of things about this model that has put it on my to buy list.. someday.. when I save up enough for it Stick Out Tongue

I'm guessing it's like other Acer Nitro's (I'm sure someone will jump in here and correct me if I'm wrong) in that the ram is NOT soldered on which is great, if the ram in there doesn't suit you it's easy to just remove it and plop in sticks of ram to get it up the ram/memory you want .. I also love the extra m2 drive slot in there for added storage (so basically there's already one m2 drive in there that Windows is installed on but there's an empty slot for a second m2 drive) .. also love that there's a dedicated video card in there that handles graphics, it takes the burden off the CPU and ram to help the laptop run faster (as opposed to say a cpu that handles graphics too) .

Whether or not it's really a "gaming" laptop will depend on the user, I've done some research on the acer nitro's and some people say " yep, great gaming laptop" others are like "nope, gets way too hot, overheats, throttles itself" ... it depends on what games you're installing/playing too.. I'm thinking upgrading it to 32 gb of ram would help far as gaming.. if the reddit link below is correct just toss a second 16 GB stick of ram in there ... the crucial memory scanner has apparently been known to get it wrong sometimes far as max ram and max size of hard drive supported but it can at least tell you the specs far as the installed ram and you can see if you can get an identical stick of ram online - from what I understand not always strictly necessary but it can help.

Not sure how big the second m2 drive is (1 TB, bigger?) that the laptop can take though maybe someone else can answer this question?

There probably isn't one but also a good idea to spend more to not have a 45% display. The colors are going to be awful

Seems like an amazing deal to me. Too bad I was looking for a laptop thru Amazon since I got s gift card there but otherwise, I would have instantly bought it. Thumbs up!
