I agree 💯 on those less-than-stellar macros of the *original* Clif Builders bars. And always have. Too much sucrose and cheap soy protein.
Go with a healthier (and cheaper) alternative from that same Clifs line *and* get the 30% offer as well:

I have these in the vending machine at work. They taste really good of course, but that's cause they pack it to the brim with sugar. It's basically a candy bar with protein powder mixed in. Not so healthy

Ahhh... taste. Hmm... Everybody's is different, yet IMHO both flavors are good for this new *reduced-sugar* (mucho mas!) product line.

First ingredient Soy protein. I want to say that many of these protein bar companies have reformulated their ingredients in the last few years and taking the whey protein out and added soy protein. It's B.S.

another problem with soy is that it's one of the dirtiest crops there is, it's full of pesticides and the worst is they use the chemical from round up on all soybean crops. If it was organic soy like most of the other ingredients on the bar it would be a real good choice but of course they did not go organic on the soybeans, which I don't get...

Otherwise, why not go all Whey? wtf? is this to save $$$ on production costs?

I have a few boxes of these in my stash because I appreciate a large variety. I routinely consume 2-4 protein bars a day to hit my macro targets. Yes, I try to get "better" bars more often but these are especially tasty and I try to see them as more of a "luxury"... Are they ideal macros for cuttting or getting the most protein per calorie? nope. Are they better for you than a snickers bar if you, heaven forbid, want a "treat"? yes.

So to each their own, but if you want a protein bar that is actually tasty (and I find them pretty filling as well) these are delicious (I like the mint and peanut butter combo that you can get at Costco). Yes, I can eat and tolerate almost any protein bar, but sometimes I do want something sweeter or more treat like and these do exactly that. Also fewer GI issues for those sensitive to sugar alcohols.

Thanks, had no idea the reduced sugar ones existed. Surprisingly, no stevia, sucralose, monk fruit or any of the usual suspects. Gonna check out the caramel ones.
